How do we stay focused?
Staying focused and limiting distractions is the habit agents need to master.
Distractions come in all shapes and sizes and the following will help you to focus on the task at hand.
Prioritise your tasks and create a daily to-do list to stay organized and on track.
Set specific goals for each day, week, and month, and track your progress to stay motivated. It’s a great idea to reverse engineer your goals.
Use time-blocking techniques to schedule your work activities and minimise interruptions.
Eliminate distractions from your phone and computer by turning off notifications – also close unnecessary tabs on your computer. Flight mode, Facebook and Youtube feed blockers are a great idea!
Use apps or tools to help you stay focused, such as a website blocker or a productivity timer.
Take regular drink breaks to clear your mind and re-energise.
Create a dedicated workspace that is free from distractions where you can focus on your work.
Avoid multitasking as much as possible as it can lead to decreased productivity and increased stress.
Learn to say no to non-essential tasks and activities that don’t align with your goals. If you can’t say no, can you delegate?
Find ways to manage stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance, such as exercise and meditation. Make sure that you do the things you love.
