In light of  the recent increases with one major real estate portals costs,  Real estate agents have been asking about alternative property websites.

 I thought I would ask Jeannette Howle  a little bit about her real estate property website.

How long has the site www.remma.com.au been going?

REMMA was launched on the 1st July, 2012.

How much does it cost to advertise on REEMA?

REMMA is FREE for Real estate agents to use – we assist you to create a bigger online presence and more exposure for real estate agents.

REMMA provides more activity and we generate genuine leads and referrals for FREE.

Why would an agent use your site compared to the bigger portals eg www.realestate.com.au or www.domain.com.au?

REMMA was formed to give all Australian Real estate agents a great alternative and a valuable option. REMMA gives all Agents a choice and an opportunity to make a difference in our industry.  A massive point of difference between our site and the other majors is that ours is FREE!

How do you compete with the big guys?

REMMA is growing and getting stronger and more relevant in our real estate industry everyday.   We are getting much more support from around the country and we are beginning to achieve more momentum.  It’s only a matter of time before we will be able to truly complete on a level playing field with the big guys.

REMMA is making a real difference, we are creating competition and making a stand in our industry so we can shake up the ‘big guys’!

That’s our outcome.

What would you tell agents that say they need to have the other major portals  as part of their marketing?

We realise that some real estate agents don’t want to let go of their current marketing programs.  We understand.

Until agents are confident in our product, I would suggest that they still advertise on the majors   – Use REMMA to complement their existing marketing…… for now.

It’s not going to cost agents anything to give us a go.  The great thing is that they will have another site to promote their properties on.  Once they are confident,  REMMA could  be a very solid alternative for their advertising and marketing.

I would suggest to just give REMMA a go and see what happens.  They have nothing to lose.

What do you have on your site that’s different to www.realestate.com.au and www.domain.com.au?

REMMA showcases agents profiles and their listings. REMMA gives agents the opportunity to showcase videos with all listings loaded straight away. REMMA gives  QR Codes on their profiles and every listing that is showcased too. Buyers and Tenants from across Australia and all around the world are matched to Agents profiles and their showcased listings.

What should real estate agents know that they might not know about the site?

REMMA has been engineered, developed and created completely from my own ideas and concepts. REMMA took 5 years to develop and bring to our industry as you see it now. REMMA has many unique selling differences compared to the ‘big boys’ sites and is delivered to you from an Agents prospective as I am from the same background and experiences as all of you.

Do you have plans to go bigger than you currently are?

Absolutely, my hopes and dreams extend to an outcome and result that gives Agents across Australia an opportunity to be able to leave the major portals altogether one day soon!
