Tip Number Four for Property Managers in real estate social media

Social Media and Real Estate

Build relationships and friendships with your landlords and tenants

I believe  that in  business,  we should  create friends.

Recently I got to ask Tim Ferriss  (author of 4 hour work week and 4 hour body)  about marketing.  He said in a nut shell, that you need to work on creating 100 loyal fans, then 200 loyal fans then 1000 loyal fans.

If you can do that, then you never  have to market yourself again.

If you have landlords and tenants that are associated with you on social media,  they are your friends / fans and  hence  they support you.   (You need to decide what you are going to use for your business – your ‘fan’ page or your personal profile).

Social media is the new word of mouth and it’s also massive social proof.

Now, in saying this….  Use caution!

If you stink as a property manager, or your  business stinks..   It will stink even more on line.   Some companies  should not use social media at all.

If you have a lot of complaints from tenants and landlords,  these complaints could be amplified a thousand fold online.

Consider this.

And….  Even the best companies need to guard their social media pages.

Protect yourself, your company and your brand by having brand protection strategies in place.
